It's been a quiet couple of months, where we've mostly relied on staple recipes we've already covered on the blog.

We started off the month with none other than homemade pizza:

Giant slice of rectangular pizza with zucchini, pancetta, and cherry tomatoes

Split pea soup with potatoes and ham shank

Then I visited Wisconsin and made my typical crescent ring:

The crescent ring before cooking, featuring sausage, cheese, onion
Post-cooking, golden browned
Pork tenderloin we cooked too
An airport pretzel on the way back home

Quesadilla back at home, which chicken and guac

A huge wok of prosciutto gnocchi with Calabrian sauce

Dinner at Grandma C's place

Prepping another wok of prosciutto gnocchi
Tomato quarters in a wok
Fresh tomatoes from Grandma C's garden, actually, being cut up
The resulting prosciutto gnocchi dish

I've been thinking about making my own sushi (with baked salmon, not raw). To get inspiration, we got some sushi from the local grocery store:

Spicy tuna sushi and avocado salmon

Then I got a craving for jalapeno poppers:

Cream cheese in jalapeno halves
Sprinkled cheese and bacon on top, baked in the toaster oven
Close up of a popper

Then I went to LA and got some ramen and ice cream:

Spicy ramen, so delicious and melty
Bubble waffle cone with mango sorbet from The Dolly Llama

Pasta and veggies with Calabrian sauce
