This month we brought home two new Sphinx kittens, Nurgle and Desdemona!

If you must ask, they're named after chaos demons because, well... cats are little chaotic demons.

Desdemona Trueblood

You may have noticed that they lack something prominent: fur!

Sphinxes are a hairless variety of cats. They're also therefore a high-maintenance type of cat, as they need to be cleaned regularly. They lack that protective layer of fur, after all!

Happy and sleepy Nurgle the first day she was home from the breeder
Desdemona exploring our bedroom
They're not sisters, but they come from the same lineage and were born within weeks of each other
Nurgle sleeping in my arms
Des had an eye infection that got worse after we took her, so we took her to the vet and she came back with a cone of shame
John wraps her up in a purr-rito to give her meds four times a day
Des likes to sit on John and watch him play games on the computer
We took the cats over to Grandma Trueblood's to visit, with their cat carrier backpacks
Nurgle eating some dry food. They eat a lot!
We're trying to train the kittens to use the toilet
They play together and cuddle
More cuddling together
Desdemona caught the cat fishing bait!
Cosy cats
More cosy kitty!
Even more sleeping together kittens!
